Rep. Andrew Myers voted NO to Ban New Sales of Assault Weapons

Rep Myers voted NO to even discussing the widely-supported gun safety bill that would ban new sales of assault style weapons. When asked about this by a constituent, he claimed he voted against it because the bill was retroactive—was he gaslighting or did he not actually read the bill? Maybe if he had voted to allow discussion he could have learned that the bill allowed current owners to keep their assault weapons.
