Rep. Andrew Myers refused to even vote on the ICE/CBP accountability bill to the floor (official video shows he was present and entered a NO vote before removing it) which would have held federal agents to the same standards as our local law enforcement agents. As a result:
- Rep. Andrew Myers refused to prohibit ICE agents from entering schools, childcare facilities, hospitals, and courthouses without a judicial warrant.
- Rep. Andrew Myers refused to ban federal agents from wearing masks or face coverings to conceal their identities.
- Rep. Andrew Myers refused to allow Minnesota citizens to sue federal immigration agents in state court for constitutional violations.
- Rep. Andrew Myers refused to require the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) investigate officer-involved shootings and uses of force involving federal agents.
- Rep. Andrew Myers refused to require vehicles used to detain and transport individuals to be clearly marked as law enforcement.
